Parent/Teacher Conference Week

When creating my staff meeting schedule this year, I made sure this week did not include a staff meeting to give you more time to prepare. Please know you can choose to use your PLC time as a team, or additional conference prep this week, whatever you want. 

Next week's blog I will include an update on our fall MAP data, then next week's PLCs will focus on planning for one guided reading group using the assessment summary from Jan Richardson. You may want to choose the group you are meeting with more frequently for guided reading to work through using the summary. 

The fifth graders had two wonderful days at camp, thank you to the 5th grade team, the Y staff and all the parent volunteers who made these two days a success. 

Finally, if you end up making any phone calls for conferences, you can use the phone call option through Google Hangouts (see the email I forwarded from Jen Lotze last week), or you can also choose to use your cellphone, but remember to use *69 to keep your phone number private. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, we just don't have the landline capacity to make these calls via your work phone.
