Wednesday Staff Meeting, BAS and Other Items.

EP Rock Staff:

I hope you were able to rejuvenate and rest a little after our first four days of school. Again thank you for all that you've done to positively start our 20-21 school year. I appreciate the hard work, and the extra places you've stepped in to help our students and families. A reminder on Wednesday, we will have a certified staff meeting in the gym starting at 8:00am, and we will start the meeting reflecting on the article on resilience that we ran out of time to discuss at our Welcome Back Staff Meeting. I will have hard copies available at the staff meeting too.  The second half of the meeting we will have time to discuss how teams are organizing their google classrooms and google meets to make this process as efficient as possible. Remember the adjustments made by Teaching and Learning and building principals at the end of last week, loosening up this process. 

Paula also wanted to let teachers know that she's more than happy to assist you with BAS assessments for IDL students that didn't make it in for one on one meetings. On Thursday we will have our EP Rock Picture Day. The district was able to get an exemption to allow students to have their masks off while getting their picture taken. They should wear it into the camera area and then when they exit this area after their picture is taken though. 

Finally our MAP window (reading and math) begins Monday, September 14th and runs through Wednesday, October 16th for 1st-5th graders. Mary and Dave will be assisting in creating the MAP schedule. Along with the BAS, this should give us a good baseline on where are students are coming back in the areas of math and reading.  

I will be out of the building early afternoon on Tuesday, at district meetings. Here's hoping each week gets a little better as we go.
