First Week

 Staff,

Happy first week with students. Tomorrow when you come to work, please park in the lot south of the playground, in the bus turnaround or the diagonal parent parking off Door #1. Tomorrow Market and Johnson will be putting the final layer of blacktop on the parking lot behind the gym so that won't be available for staff or during Meet the Teacher Night. Prior to 4pm, please move your vehicles to the parking lot north of the stadium so families have access to the parking lots and street parking closest to the school. The gym parking lot will be ready for staff use and parent pickup and drop off on the first day of school. 

The Kindergarten-First grade bathrooms will be offline until approximately September 11th. The 2nd/3rd, 4th/5th and cafeteria hallway bathrooms are up and running. Kindergarten teachers, please maximize your classroom bathrooms during the start of the year.  

There is a large crew set aside for cleaning tomorrow as you prepare for Meet the Teacher Night and the start of the school year. Finally mid morning tomorrow, I will be sending a Parent Square message to families about Meet the Teacher Night. This also includes the pick up and drop off procedures. We will revert back to our typical locations (K-2) at the front of the building and (3-5) at the back. There is now a longer car line area at Door #1, as well as sidewalks, but the cement pad off of Door #1 is smaller, something we will have to adjust to. 

Thank you for your flexibility this past week and regarding the late access to the building. We may need to move art into a different classroom for a few days to start the year, and I will know more about this tomorrow in the morning. We will also begin the school year with PE classes using half the gym closest to the stage. See you all soon!
