NPR Article on the Pandemic and Schools

Last weekend, Brittany and I came across the same article on the pandemic and schools, and we thought it was timely. Especially after our staff meeting on minimizing staff close contacts followed up by helping Mollie get IDL materials ready for students deemed close contacts in her classroom. Here is a link to the article. I think it reinforces a lot of the things we having been living since the start of the school year with our pretty successful reopening. Again staff thank you for all that you are doing to maximize the safety of our students and our colleagues. 

At our virtual staff meeting (all staff welcome to attend) on Wednesday the 5th grade team will have an update on our Veteran's Day Parade on Friday, November 13th. We are moving forward with an adjusted observance this year. There will be a videotaped speech from my friend Major Ben Stenzler who was an army doctor in the Iraq War. 

At 2:15pm during our early release on Friday, I will go over the SLO process this year for certified staff. This presentation will also be done virtually through a Google Meet.
