Welcome Back Letter This Week

EP Rock Staff:

Next week you will be receiving your Welcome Back Materials from EP Rock Elementary and the District as a whole. If you haven't already, you may want to view the reopening staff update from Dr. Nick today. I don't think the Youtube video captured the very beginning of his Zoom meeting though. He also took questions from HSD staff. I am planning on hosting a Google Meet FAQ on Tuesday, August 11th at 1:00pm. The invite will come out later to you all. I am waiting a little longer to host this meeting, so more of the decisions are made regarding reopening and COVID-19. 

In preparation for the school year, be thinking about your classroom organization, please also think about how to distance tables and/or desks. This may include re-arranging your classroom and the removal of some furniture/supplies. The less items in classroom, the easier cleaning will be. We will have barriers for classrooms that have tables and not desks.  Let Shane or me know if you require help or storage options. Also, be thinking about assigning seats by "pods".  Students will need to have assigned seats in the lunchroom that align with who they are seated by in the classroom (either by table or desk proximity). Classroom teachers will also be asked to share these seating assignments with specialists. Classroom seating assignments will not change as much as they have in the past, because we are going to try to cohort kids as much as possible, in case we need to provide information to the county so they can do contact tracing.
