Coaching First Half of the Year

Staff,

On the eve of our last week of school in 2019, I wanted to thank you all for your teamwork, commitment to our students and the professional learning you've completed thus far. All of our grade level teachers had Paula in to observe a Jan Richardson guided reading lesson and everyone will have the first coaching cycle completed before winter break, well done!

At our Wednesday staff meeting, I have pulled back on any EDM 4 updates, and we will focus our time solely on the next Love and Logic strategy:  Recovery (timeout/take a break) spaces. I wanted staff to have this information because when we return from break we have some staff piloting this process:  Heather Meyers/Kris and Pam, Julie Andracek/Sarah Grossenbacher, Julie Warren/Nicki Lagerstrom and Brian Milburn/Media and Life Skills. Through their implementation, we will be able to find out what adjustments we may need to make before further utilizing recovery within the building.
