PBIS and the Start of Conferences
EP Rock Staff:
The PBIS Tier I Team met on Thursday to plan our next All School Celebration for Friday, March 12th. On this date, we will have two drop everything and read time options. Feel free to access the one which works best for your class. One will be in the am and one will be in the pm. Starting on Monday, February 15th students will be able to use their acknowledgement tickets to vote for the dress up day to coincide with Drop Everything and Read Day. The team decided to use this format instead of the thermometer. Here's the dress up day options students will get to choose from on March 12th.
- Beach Day
- Jersey/Hat Day
- Pajama Day
- Crazy Hair Day
There will be no virtual staff meetings this week or next in light of your preparations for parent/teacher conferences. When thinking ahead to conferences, I wanted to remind you of the sandwich method: starting with student strengths, then hitting on an area of growth and again wrapping up the conference with items your student is excelling at in your class. Feel free to reach out to Kelly and me, if you need one of us to attend a conference with you.
Also the schedule for our Friday, February 19th professional development has become more finalized. The first virtual meetings of the day will be district grade level/department meetings starting at 8:15am. Here's the agenda for the day.
Finally classroom teachers if you get any phone calls, emails or notes from parents regarding illness, IDL, parent pick up or attendance make sure the office or health office gets the information as soon as possible. Sometimes classroom teachers are notified by parents but the office and health office are not. Thank you!
